Objective of the Staff Grievance Redressal Committee.
- To provide a formal mechanism for grievance redressal.
- To ensure fairness and impartiality- The Committee shall process all the individual complaints and take immediate suitable action.Â
- To promote a healthy work environment- The Committee will provide assistance to the Faculty/Colleges for taking preventive steps in the matter of gender discrimination and sexual harassment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Recording Grievances:
The cell accepts written or verbal complaints from staff members, ensuring a clear record of all issues.Â
- Investigation and Assessment:
The cell thoroughly investigates the nature and validity of each grievance, often involving discussions with the complainant and other relevant parties.Â
- Mediation and Resolution:
The cell may act as a mediator between the complainant and the respondent, working towards a mutually agreeable solution.Â
- Recommendations:
Based on its investigation, the cell makes recommendations to the relevant authorities regarding the resolution of the grievance, which may include disciplinary action or other corrective measures.Â
- Reporting and Follow-up:
The cell tracks the progress of each grievance and reports on the status of resolutions, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and effectively.Â
- Confidentiality:
The cell maintains strict confidentiality, especially when dealing with sensitive or potentially embarrassing matters.Â
- Prevention and Improvement:
The cell analyses patterns in grievances to identify areas for improvement in policies, procedures, or work practices, contributing to a more positive work environment.Â
